What's a RAOK?

I found another blog that I just love. And I just have to share it :) 


this particular link goes to a post that is about what she does every year on her birthday. She does RAOK, (Random Acts of Kindness), so last year she turned 41 and so she did 41 RAOK's. The things she came up are just awesome. I am definitely going to start doing this. I mean it is a great idea. I do RAOK's, but not like this. >> 41 in one day :) Awesome! :) 

And not only does she do them but her friends and family do them as well. As a birthday gift to her. Pay it Forward.
When you do a RAOK, you never know who that will affect. That person could have had the worst day or week, and you just made them a bit happier. 

I encourage you to do a RAOK. It may be something you think is small and insignificant, but the person who will be receiving it doesn't. Any act of kindness is pleasing to the Lord.

Something He doesn't want me to forget...

On Monday I was driving to my physical therapy appointment, and I turned the radio off and just started talking with God. I thanked him for all the things happening in my life. And asked him for strength with all the things I was have problems with. Then all of a sudden a verse popped in my head. And it was clear as day, I have never had that happen to me and it be that clear. 
The verse was Philippians 1:9
9 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10 so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
 I have been praying wisdom to understand his word, and to be able to speak to others about Christ. So I was just amazed at God, at the moment I read these verses. 
I just had to tell my husband as soon as I came back home. I was just so excited that God had spoken to me so clearly. Honestly I have not had that happen like that before. I have always believed it could happen, but I am now in a place in my life where I long to be closer to Him. I want to know Him more each day. 
Then later that day I was on the internet, and I saw 2 more references to Philippians. After seeing that I decided that He wanted me to read this book. 


I know I wrote in the last blog post that I am currently reading 2 books, and waiting to read another. (This is no excuse by the way, but) This was what I tried to use as an excuse to hold off on reading Philippians. 
But then yesterday afternoon another mention to Philippians online. And then today I saw a video from Mark Brown titled "The Secret to Overcoming Pain"

He talks about Philippians 4:12-13, which is different, because I always hear people quote verse 13 but not verse 12. 
12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
 So now I think He is not going to let this go until I read it lol :) Isn't Our Heavenly Daddy awesome?! :) Sometimes we just need a few reminders to get going. And we have a Loving Father who will do just that.

Books I am reading now

I am currently reading Too Blessed For This Mess by Cindi Wood. It is a great book. I am already wanting to pass this on to a few women I know, including my mother and mother in-law. She helps women deal with the stress of life. With all the different roles we women have Cindi Wood shows us that if we depend on God he will fight our battles for us.  


I have also started Revolution In World Missions by K.P. Yohannan. Which I received for free from there website. http://www.gfa.org/offer/freebook/  The book brings insight to mission work being done and work needed to be done in the 10/40 window. It was written by the founder of Gospel for Asia. 


And when I am done with my first book I will start The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. I've heard many good things about this book and I am excited to start reading it.

Love this song...


If your wondering about the name of my blog and how I came about that particular name, well I heard this song on the radio and I love it.
In the chorus he sings:

Well let me remind you, it all matters just as long, As you do everything you do to the glory of the One who made you, Cause he made you, To do Every little thing that you do, To bring a smile to His face, Tell the story of grace, With every move that you make, And every little thing you do   
I love this song because I can relate to it. And it reminds me that when I'm at work, home, or anywhere that I need to bring glory to God for all that I do. Even when I'm sweeping up the cheerios off the floor or doing laundry. :)
